All ORL Branches are closed on statutory holidays.
We are freshening up the branch and building new meeting rooms and common areas to serve the community better. Patrons visiting the branch should expect an increased level of noise and construction related activity.
A few highlights:
The library has two book return bins - one behind the library, next to the Canadian Tire loading dock and open 24 hours; and one inside the mall next to the library entrance and open during mall hours. Book drops are locked during extended closures (Easter, Christmas, and during the renovation closure January 2-9, 2019).

Salmon Arm's Friends of the Library group was formed in 1998. The Friends support the library through advocacy and fundraising, such as organizing two book sales a year, in January and June. Book sale proceeds help sponsor library programs such as author visits and special children's programs and contests. The Friends have donated several furnishings for the library, including our lounge chairs and the loveseat in the children's area. Friends also volunteer with the library's Homebound delivery program.
Meetings are held in April, September and November.
The next meeting is Monday, November 12, at 2:00 in the Piccadilly Mall Board Room (down the corridor just past InView Optical).
